Plot Summary:

The story revolves around a small place where there is a huge clash happening between the workers of a factory and its management who believes in autocratic rules. As the issue deepens, the management is fine but days get more difficult for the workers. In this junction, arrives a group of leftists who decide to bring about oneness and unity among the working class. However, things take a nasty turn when a young man Raju (Kumar Govind) stands up to the situation and voices his frank opinions. Discovering this trouble which could get more painful, a plot is hatched and finally Raju is arrested and imprisoned on false charges. But his mother Thayavva (Pramila Joshai) is unable to handle this injustice and just when she is thinking as to how she has to express it, the leftists advise her to take off a silent protest. Thayavva listens to it seriously and gets off on a silent protest and in this process discovers that it is not an individual but an entire society that needs to be enlightened. more
